Sunan Abi Dawud 30 · Sahih · Meaning: our child-friendly wording · littleminarets.com
For parents & teachers
Just one word, so it is a quick win for little ones and a lovely partner to the dua for going in. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said it as he came out. Turn it into a tiny routine: wash hands, step out, "Ghufranak!" Young children won't need the deeper meaning yet; it is enough to know we are saying sorry to Allah and asking Him to forgive us, and that Allah loves it when we ask.
By age: All ages: one word, easy to learn in a day.
