For parents & teachers
'A'ishah asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ what to say if she knew it was Laylatul Qadr, and he taught her this. It is short, gentle and full of hope: Allah loves to forgive. In the last ten nights of Ramadan, make it the family's night-time dua, perhaps under a homemade paper lantern. Children can understand forgiveness well: talk about a time someone forgave them, and how it felt. The words are just as good all year round.
By age: Ages 4 and up, one line a night.
