About this page

Five sheep stand in a row along a wooden fence: three big ones and two little ones. This page is a counting game first and a coloring page second. Count them together by pointing, then try counting the fence posts, the tufts of grass and the rays of the sun. For older preschoolers, ask which sheep are the same size or who might be a parent and who a baby. Counting the blessings we can see is a simple first step towards saying alhamdulillah for them.

Talk about it

  • How many sheep can you count? How many are big, and how many are small?
  • What are five things you can say alhamdulillah (thank Allah) for today?

Color tips

Give each sheep its own color so they are easier to count, and color the fence brown with green grass below.
