More in these themes: Animals, Prophets' stories
Desert Friends gathers the animals and night skies from our picture book A Star is Born in Mecca, which follows the early life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Most pages are big, simple shapes for toddlers and preschoolers: camels on the dunes, a meadow of lambs, a kitten and her turtle friend. Two busier scenes, the fox on the treasure chest and a Bedouin tent under the stars, suit children of five and up. Each page has a short note here for the grown-up, so coloring time can turn into a conversation about honesty, kindness to animals and life in the desert long ago.
