Dua for leaving the masjid

When: As you step out of the masjid

For parents & teachers

Teaching this dua

Going in, we ask for Allah's mercy; coming out, we ask for His fadl, the good things He gives us in our everyday life. Both come from the same short hadith, so learn them as a pair. Children enjoy the rhythm of in and out: say the first at the door going in and this one on the steps going out. On the way home, ask what blessing they hope for today. The answers are often wonderful.

By age: Ages 4 and up, once the entering dua is easy.
