Printed on the sheet: Muslims all around the world face the Ka'bah when they pray.
At the heart of Masjid al-Haram stands the Ka'bah, the house of worship Muslims everywhere turn towards in prayer, known as the qiblah (Qur'an 2:144). It is wrapped in the kiswah, a black cloth with a band of gold embroidery, which is replaced with a new one every year. Pilgrims on Hajj and Umrah walk around the Ka'bah seven times, and the mosque around it is the largest in the world. The picture shows the Ka'bah whole, with its door curtain and gold band, in a courtyard ringed by arches and minarets.
Black for the kiswah with a gold band and a gold door curtain; white or pale gray marble for the courtyard. Colored pencils keep the black neat around the band.
