Surah Al-Fatiha, “The Opening”, is the first surah of the Qur'an and is recited in every unit of every prayer, which is why it is usually the first surah children learn. This video recites it gently and repeatedly for about thirty minutes, so it can play quietly during coloring, a car journey or a calm classroom activity, and the words sink in by listening. Its seven ayat are called “the seven oft-repeated” (Qur'an 15:87).

Try this

• Play it during coloring time rather than asking your child to sit still and repeat.
• Once they know the sound, take turns saying one ayah each.
